E-genesis is an Entrepreneurship Development Cell of DR VN BRIMS which was established on 09/12/09. E-genesis aims at motivating the students to establish their own ventures by giving necessary guidance and support. The objective of E-genesis is to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst management students.
It was set up with the help of National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) which is a nonprofit organisation established in 2003 with a mission to create and support high-growth entrepreneurs, driving job-creation and economic growth in India.
E-genesis was launched after inaugural address of Mr. Probal Roychoudhury, a Regional Manager in National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN). He spoke about the aims and activities of NEN and how students can benefit from them. Then there was an inspiring talk by Ms Sweta Tiwari of on her entrepreneurial venture, Choco Desire.
The students of the e-cell organised a workshops in the Institute in the first week of February 2010. Students from various colleges participated. Eminent entrepreneurs were invited who gave practical inputs to the students. Inspired by E-genesis, few students are in the process of setting up their own ventures and are very close to converting their dreams into realities.
