Academic year 2023-24 at VPM’s Dr.V.N.Bedekar Institute of Management Studies-BRIMS was very exciting and dynamic” is the feeling of most of the students experiencing numerous and varied placement opportunities from well-known brands, exiting salary packages with process oriented delivery of quality management education. VPM’s Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies (BRIMS) continues to strengthen its reputation as a premier management institute, achieving remarkable placement success for the academic year 2023-24. This year witnessed record-breaking salary packages, an increase in recruiters, and a higher number of students securing placements, reflecting the institute’s commitment to excellence in management education and industry readiness.
The highest package offered this year was INR 12 LPA, while the average package ranged between INR 4-5 LPA. A total of 152 students secured placements with a significant increase in the number of companies visiting the campus. The top recruiters included IDBI Bank, Leap India Pvt Ltd, ISS STOXX, MorningStar, Godrej & Boyce, Aira Consulting, BSE, IDFC First Bank, Kantar IMRB, HDFC Life, OPPO Mobiles, Clix Capital, Globe Op, VIP Industries, Insync Analytics, and KB Exports. Insync Analytics recruited students from BRIMS for the post of Financial Analyst, and the HR team of Insync Analytics shared positive feedback about the institute’s teaching faculty and the quality of students. Many recruiters have remained consistent over the years due to the institute’s focus on skill development and industry engagement.
The placement season was marked by several success stories. Mr. Kunal Patil secured a position at Leap India Private Limited with a package of INR 8.0 LPA. He expressed his gratitude towards BRIMS for the supportive environment and mentorship that enriched his learning experience. Mr. Amit Bist, who joined Anand Rathi Global Finance Ltd with a package of INR 6.0 LPA, emphasized the importance of collective support from faculty, mentors, and peers in shaping his career. Mr. Nishant Subhash Bhoir, placed at IDBI Bank with a package of INR 6.5 LPA, credited BRIMS for his skill development and confidence-building over two years. Ms. Sonali Panpatil, also placed at IDBI Bank with a package of INR 6.5 LPA, highlighted the practical learning opportunities and real-world exposure she gained through projects and competitions.
BRIMS attributes its consistent placement success to a strong blend of academic rigor and industry interaction. Internships play a crucial role in the academic framework at BRIMS, ensuring real-world learning and industry exposure. Summer internships are mandatory, and 75% of students received stipends during their internships. The highest stipend offered was INR 24,000 per month, and 12 students received stipends of INR 10,000 per month. The Placement Cell at BRIMS is led by a team of experienced professionals who ensure a smooth placement process and foster industry relationships. The team comprises Prof. Dr. Mahesh Bhanushali, Ms. Sweta Nair, and Mr. Amit Nambair, working under the strategic guidance of Director, Dr. Nitin Joshi. Their dedicated efforts have contributed significantly to the success of the placement season and the continuous improvement of student employability.
