Dr. V. N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies (BRIMS) was set-up as a pioneer management college in Thane in the academic year 2005-2006 and today it ranks as one of the best colleges in Mumbai and Top B-School in Thane. BRIMS's MMS Program is Accredited by NBA, and NAAC "A" Grade for the institution.
The institute was setup with a vision to make the Thane city the hub of management education par excellence. BRIMS is approved by AICTE and affiliated to University of Mumbai. BRIMS follows a quality policy in terms of delivering quality education which is why the institute is a ISO: 9001:2015 certified.
Dr V.N Bedekar had a dream of making Thane a hub of management education par excellence. In order to provide quality management education, he established Department of Management Studies on 3rd July 1973. Dr. V.V. Bedekar fulfilled the dreams of his father Dr. V.N. Bedekar in the academic year 2005-06 by establishing Dr. V.N. Bedekar Institute of Management Studies (DR VN BRIMS).
His drive and leadership resulted in the institute getting approval from AICTE to conduct the two-year full-time MMS program. Due to his determination and vision, the small sapling planted by Dr V.N. Bedekar over 37 years ago has now grown into a tall tree producing qualified management professionals every year.
DR VN BRIMS aims to provide for its students, industry-oriented education giving a foreground to professionalism and innovation in thought process. As a centre of management education, located in the VPM Thane campus, we are dedicated to drive academic competency, thought exchange, intellectual development, holistic learning and professional development for students, teachers and staff at the institute.
Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Thane (VPM) was established in 1935 to take up the national and humanitarian cause of meeting the urge of young and old, unprivileged to have access to primary and secondary education. VPM as on today is a pioneer educational institute in Thane, enthusiastically and zealously catering to the basic needs of education to nearly 14,000 students everyday, across faculties in Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Polytechnic and Management Studies.
With the vision of expanding it's horizons, VPM (Thane) has established London Academy for Education & Research in order to emerge as a dynamic and responsive global organisation. It has also entered into collaborative agreements with Northern College, Ontario, Canada for Advanced Engineering Diploma Courses and with Skovde University, Sweden for Postgraduate degree programs in Medical Biotechnology, Physiology and Molecular Biology.
