On 11th September 2020 DR VN BRIMS had organized its 7th Online Brims Connect event for the month of August. Since the lockdown period our institute has adopted this new digital platform and has been conducting this event on every second Friday of the month. This event focuses on appreciating faculty members and students for the achievements achieved during that month. This acts as one of the motivation factors for students for continuous learning and improving their own skills.
The event started with showcasing of a short motivational story which aimed at to believe in yourself. Later, various events were showcased which occurred during the month of August. On 14th August Dr. Nitin Joshi was invited as a guest speaker for a programme by VPM’s Advanced Study centre.
Prof. Mahesh Bhanushali was admired for successfully organizing orientation session of DHL Smart trucking for MMS and PGDM Operations students on Internship proposal. Five students were selected for the online internship with DHL Smarttrucking.
Going ahead Prof. Vibhuti Save was appreciated for assessing Global Indian International School Ahmedabad Campus application for “Excellence in Crisis Competition” as per IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (IMC RBNQA) Criteria.
On 30th August Dr. Arloph Johnviera, Prof. Mahesh Bhanushali & Prof. Vibhuti Save successfully completed the 1st Batch of Online Supply Chain Modular Course. Feedback received from participants were shared in the event.
In the month of August Dr. Nitin Joshi provided an opportunity to 3 MMS HR students Mr. Jai Nangre, Miss Sobel Chordekar, and Miss Shramika Ghagare for international project. They were supposed to work under the guidance of Prof. Kanchan Akshay for the project given by ‘First wave Research’. They had to Identify online training platforms and Markets for Online Training for India, Middle East and Africa. The stipend given to students was Rs 12,000 for this international project.
Dr. Nitin Joshi was appointed as a reviewer for Scopus indexed journal “International Journal of Business Innovation and Research”.
A research paper written by Dr. Nitin Joshi on topic “A study of Perception of Customer about Service Quality between Public and Private Life Insurance Companies in Mumbai” got published in UGC listed journal.
Further a research paper written by Dr. Smita Jape on topic “Bank Consolidation: Pre & Post Merger financial performance of State Bank of India” got published in International Journal of Management, IT and Engineering (IJMIE).
The winners for InnoBiz-Innovation Competition conducted by IIC Team of Brims declared the results for the month of August 2020.
Various FDP’s workshops and webinars attended by the faculty members of BRIMS were also shared during this event.
Moving forward to the student’s achievements, the certification received by students were showcased which boosted the level of spirit in students and encouraged them to be always productive and make the best use of time.

The event was well anchored by second year MMS student Miss Sayali Palav. Video was created and prepared by second year PGDM student Mr Ajay Sarse and Second Year MMS Student Mr Sujay Patil. The event was well organized by Dr. Meenakshi Malhotra and Prof. Sandeep Moghe. The IT Support team of BRIMS did a fantastic job and made sure that the event was carried out without any technological glitches. The event ended smoothly with the collective efforts of Institute.
