Swaranjali held on 30th December, 2019 at BRIMS

To promote musical talent DR VN BRIMS organizes an event "Swaranjali" where every individual of the organization get platform to perform and demonstrate their musical talent. This year the event was held on 30th Dec, 2019 at Panini Hall, DR VN BRIMS. The event started at 4:00 pm with lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana followed by performance of Prof Mahesh Bhanushali on “Raag Bhimpalas” and “Raag Shivaranjani”.

There was a singing performance by MMS first year student Prashansa Adakaney on “Ek radha ek mira” from movie Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985). Prof Vibhuti Save recited one peom on theme motherhood. Director, Dr. Nitin Joshi demonstrated the use of same raag in different songs. He further demonstrated his skills on tabla and mouthorgan. Prof Kiran Paranjpe played some old songs on mouthorgan. Prof Siddhesh Soman played guitar on songs like “Chura liya hai tumne”, “Ajeeb Daastan Hai Ye” and “Papa kehte hai bada naam karega”.

Last there was a jugalbandhi between instruments tabla and violin by Avdhut Ghevadekar and Sidha Kulkarni, MMS second year students. MMS student Avdhut Ghevadekar demonstrated his skills on tabla. He also mentioned that he has completed 5 levels in sangeet visharad.

MMS first year student Prashansa Adakaney shared her feelings about the supportive environment of DR VN BRIMS. She expressed her gratitude towards faculty members and Institute.
