MBA is commonly called Masters in Business Administration
When one completes a Four Semester Programme,one is qualified to be awarded a MBA Degree
It is perceived to be a Masters in Business Applications
And this is the unusual phenomenon that makes MBA the most distinguishing factor from similar Post Graduate Degrees
Theory is not important for the business; business revolves around applications.
Be it a start up or multi billion dollar entities MBA graduate starts out prominent amongst others, when it is time for hiring for the business.
Why?
Because the owner can expect to dialogue with somebody who would talk not “theory” but “applications”
In other words it is believed that MBA graduate is taught in his classes that how theory can be applied in practice.
He is expected to combine the four pillars of business, namely man, material, money and machine to produce an outcome. We may call it in terms of discipline such as finance, marketing, hr, operations, systems.
From time immemorial the business world has been the darling of change paving the birth of new business models which would define the fate of product or service waiting to be delivered to the ultimate target, namely the consumer.
Today businesses occur beyond time and place; the owner will hire such persons who would be able to meet the challenges thrown by times and limitless space.
MBA graduate should be qualified and readied for absorption by business community undaunted and unchallenged with determination; his knowledge could be incomplete; his experience could be insufficient; his foresight could be visionless; but his degree i.e. MBA will help him to land in a job.
But he has to do his job, not alone as a source of winning his bread and butter, but he would have to have the passion to build an empire; he has to become “one in all” ungrumbling and always motivated to deliver the best.
Then only he will be able to move from his location of today to his desired location of tomorrow.
Does he have to be stressed?
No!!
Stress originates from the fact: “ anxious we are about tomorrow, wailing about yesterday, when we forget to live in the present”
MBA graduate has to grapple with situations where beyond the case discussion scenario, posing challenges which were not discussed within the four walls of class rooms or undiscussed over coffee tables as the case may be!!
Choosing an MBA is perceived to be a turning point; in the work place delivery matters most; from where you come is unimportant.
Then should one go for MBA at all!!
Trained student could deliver better on a second chance, though an untrained student might have made successful attempt on the first time itself
Then the untrained student would be motivated to go for MBA to become perfect in knowledge applications so that he would be better of in his choice of designations and his peers and acquaintances and above all his progress.
Sharpening of skills and knowledge applications would be hastened with the accreditation of three characters namely “MBA” adding more punch to the career search!!
